【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardaddresseslight-dutyvehicles,e.g.passengercars,pick-uptrucks,lightvansandsportutilityvehicles(motorcyclesexcluded)equippedwithMALSOsystems.Itspecifiesminimumfunctionalityrequirementswhichthedrivercangenerallyexpectofthedevice,i.e.detectionofandinformationonthepresenceofrelevantobstacleswithinadefined(short)detectionrange.Itdefinesminimumrequirementsforfailureindicationaswellasperformancetestprocedures;itincludesrulesforthegeneralinformationstrategybutdoesnotrestrictthekindofinformationordisplaysystem.MALSOsystemsuseobject-detectiondevices(sensors)forranginginordertoprovidethedriverwithinformationbasedonthedistancetoobstacles.Thesensingtechnologyisnotaddressed;however,technologyaffectstheperformance-testproceduressetupinthisInternationalStandard(seeClause7).Thecurrenttestobjectsaredefinedbasedonsystemsusingultrasonicsensors,whichreflectthemostcommonlyusedtechnologyatthetimeofpublishingthisInternationalStandard.Forothersensingtechnologiespossiblycomingupinthefuture,thesetestobjectsshallbecheckedandchangedifrequired.Visibility-enhancementsystemslikevideo-cameraaidswithoutdistancerangingandwarningarenotcoveredbythisInternationalStandard.
