【摘要】:ThispartofISO34specifiesthreetestmethodsforthedeterminationofthetearstrengthofvulcanizedandthermoplasticrubber,namely—MethodA,usingatrousertestpiece;—MethodB,usinganangletestpiece,withorwithoutanickofspecifieddepth;—MethodC,usingacrescenttestpiecewithanick.Thevalueoftearstrengthobtaineddependsontheshapeofthetestpiece,speedofstretchingandtemperatureoftest.Itmayalsobesusceptibletograineffectsinrubber.MethodA:UsingatrousertestpieceMethodA,usingthetrousertestpiece,ispreferredbecauseitisnotsensitivetothelengthofthecut,unliketheothertwotestpiecesinwhichthenickhastobeverycloselycontrolled.Inaddition,theresultsobtainedaremoreeasilyrelatedtothefundamentaltearpropertiesofthematerialandarelesssensitivetomoduluseffects(providedthatthelegextensionisnegligible)andtherateofpropagationofthetearisdirectlyrelatedtotherateofgripseparation.Withsomerubbers,thepropagationoftearisnotsmooth(knottytear),andanalysisofresultsmaybedifficult.MethodB,procedure(a):UsinganangletestpiecewithoutnickThistestisacombinationoftearinitiationandpropagation.Stressisbuiltupatthepointoftheangleuntilitissufficienttoinitiateatearandthenfurtherstressespropagatethistear.Howeveritisonlypossibletomeasuretheoverallforcerequiredtorupturethetestpiece,and,therefore,theforcecannotberesolvedintwocomponentsproducinginitiationandpropagation.'1'MethodB,procedure(b):UsinganangletestpiecewithnickThistestmeasurestheforcerequiredtopropagateanickalreadyproducedinthetestpiece.Therateofpropagationisnotdirectlyrelatedtothejawspeed.'21MethodC:UsingacrescenttestpieceThistestalsomeasurestheforcerequiredtopropagateanickalreadyproducedinthetestpieceandtherateofpropagationisnotrelatedtothejawspeed.NOTEAseparatemethodforthedeterminationofthetearstrengthofsmalltestpiecesofrubber(Delfttestpieces)isspecifiedinISO34-2.[3]
